Morning after breakfast, our city and cultural guide meets the group at the hotel for exciting tour. The drive leads in the heart of Kathmandu city, where interesting historical Durbar Square / Palace Courtyard located. The right spot to observe Nepalese cultures. Tour of ancient monuments listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites, next tour takes you to old Swayambhunath Stupa of more than 2,600 years history. A Buddhist monument situated on a hillock west of Kathmandu city outskirt, the famous landmark of the country. From here back to hotel for lunch, and the get ready for exciting scenic flight to Nepalgunj city around Nepal Far Mid-South West for overnight halt. Today marks the beginning of your trekking adventure. You'll start your journey from Jumla and trek to Chere Chaur. The trail offers stunning views of the Himalayan landscape and passes through forests, villages, and meadows. You'll spend the night at a teahouse in Chere Chaur.
Continuing your trek, you'll make your way from Chere Chaur to Chalachaur. The trail winds through beautiful scenery, including lush forests and terraced fields. Today's trek takes you to the historic Sinja Valley, once the capital of the Malla Kingdom. The trail offers cultural insights as you pass ancient temples, ruins, and traditional villages. You'll camp overnight in Sinja Valley, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty.
Leaving Sinja behind, you'll trek to Ghorosingha, a charming village nestled amidst verdant hills. The trail gradually ascends, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Upon reaching Ghorosingha, you'll settle in at a teahouse for the night.
Today, you'll trek to the jewel of the region, Rara Lake. The trail leads through pristine forests and alpine meadows, with glimpses of the shimmering lake ahead. Upon arrival, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the turquoise waters surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Overnight camping by the lakeshore.
You'll spend the day exploring the tranquil surroundings of Rara Lake. You can take leisurely walks along the lakeshore, soak in the serene atmosphere, and capture stunning photographs of the natural beauty. Overnight camping at Rara Lake.
Leaving Rara Lake behind, you'll trek to Pina village. The trail descends through lush forests and terraced fields, offering glimpses of rural life in the mountains. Upon reaching Pina, you'll settle in at a teahouse for the night.
Continuing your trek, you'll make your way from Pina to Bumra. The trail winds through picturesque landscapes, including forests, streams, and small settlements. You'll spend the night at a teahouse in Bumra.
Today marks the final day of your trekking adventure. You'll trek back to Jumla, where you'll bid farewell to the rugged wilderness and stunning scenery. Upon arrival in Jumla, you'll check into your accommodation and have the rest of the day free to relax and reflect on your journey.
Morning as time for flight time from Talcha to Nepalgunj city airport, a short walk to the airport terminal. As the small aircraft arrives from Nepalgunj, and then get on board for sweeping short scenic flight to land at Nepalgunj city airport.
A short stop at Nepalgunj airport for the connecting flight to Kathmandu, from here on a big airplane. A panoramic flight of less than an hour reaches Kathmandu, from the airport in Kathmandu domestic air terminal. A short drive back to your hotel, having rest of the day free at leisure for individual activities.
Last day in Nepal and at Kathmandu, get ready for final departure as per your international flight time. Himalayan Forever Trek guide and staff transfer you to the airport. Rara National Park and Mugu area is located north-west Nepal approx. 371 km air distance from Kathmandu. The road distance is about 863.9 km. taking few days of drives via Nepalgunj city and by air 55 minutes flight to Nepalgunj city airport? From Nepalgunj approx. 45 minutes flight to Talcha airport, where our trek starts and ends.
Although a remote and Far from the main cities of Nepal, on least visited region by foreign visitor. The trek to Rara Lake and Murma Hill offers nice and simple lodge accommodation with basic meals menu. On Rara Lake Journey staying overnights in local Lodges and Guest Houses.
As season wise, during spring and autumn the best time for trekking, most days are fine and clear. To enjoy views and pleasant walks, however can expect snow on higher altitude sometimes. But bright and sunny days in best seasons from March to May. As well in autumn / fall from September to November, in spring season, above 2,000 m high. Minimum temperatures of minus 0° and maximum of 20° Celsius not adding extra wind-chill factor. In autumn the sun rise late by 5:30 a.m. and sunsets by 5 p.m. makes the morning and night time much colder with minimum temperatures from minus 5° to 10° Celsius.
Depending upon altitude wise. Maximum of 15° to 20° Celsius, around high altitude above 2,500 the sunlight gets bright with strong UV. Trekkers needs to carry sun-blocks and wearing sun-hats to block the sun against the UV rays around higher altitude, especially in direct sunlight of afternoon.
Due to its remote location and taking much time to reach on overland, the only fastest means by air. This is why Rara Lake is visited region of Nepal by foreign travelers. But over the past few decades it is getting more popular among domestic Nepali tourist rather than western visitors.
Lodge in Talcha and Murma has hydroelectricity or solar power, where visitors can charge electronic items. For Internet and Wi-Fi can get interrupted does not receives or works. But the cell-phone gets better networks than internets or Wi-Fi, the only good place is Nepalgunj city.
