The trek takes you to the base of Annapurna, one of the most iconic peaks in the world, while ensuring you have the best possible facilities along the way.
The Annapurna Base Camp Luxury Trek generally takes 10 to 14 days, depending on your pace and any side trips or detours you choose to take. The trek usually starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, followed by a drive to the trailhead at Nayapul. From there, you will trek to the base camp, passing through beautiful villages, lush forests, and stunning viewpoints. On your return journey, you’ll take the same route back to Nayapul and return to Pokhara before heading back to Kathmandu.
The Annapurna Base Camp Luxury Trek is suitable for trekkers with a moderate level of fitness. While it’s not as physically demanding as some of Nepal’s more challenging treks, it still involves several days of uphill and downhill walking at altitudes of over 4,000 meters (13,000 feet). It’s important to be in good health and prepared for long days of hiking. However, with the luxurious accommodations and high-quality services we provide, the trek is designed to be comfortable, even for those who have limited trekking experience.
On the Annapurna Base Camp Luxury Trek, you’ll stay in some of the best lodges and hotels in the region. These lodges are equipped with comfortable beds, hot showers, clean facilities, and many even offer Wi-Fi access and charging stations for your devices. Luxurious Accommodations:Unlike standard treks, the luxury trek offers you high-end lodgings with all modern comforts, even in the remote mountains.
Gourmet Meals: Enjoy a variety of delicious meals prepared by experienced chefs at each lodge.
The best time for the Annapurna Base Camp Luxury Trek is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. These months offer the most stable weather, with clear skies, moderate temperatures, and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The trekking routes are also less crowded during these times, allowing you to enjoy the scenery in relative peace. The winter (December to February) can be very cold, and the summer/monsoon season (June to August) brings heavy rainfall, making it less ideal for trekking.
While the Annapurna Base Camp Luxury Trek is designed to be more comfortable than traditional treks, you will still need to have proper trekking gear, including:
Good quality trekking boots with ankle support.
Warm clothing (even in the luxury trek, temperatures can drop at higher altitudes).
Lightweight, moisture-wicking clothing for the day.
A waterproof jacket and pants for potential rain.
A sleeping bag (if not provided by the lodge).
Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection.
Don’t worry if you don’t have all of these items. We can advise you on where to buy or rent them in Kathmandu or Pokhara before the trek begins.
As with any trek at higher altitudes, there is always a risk of altitude sickness. However, on the Annapurna Base Camp Luxury Trek, we carefully manage your acclimatization to minimize this risk. We schedule ample rest days, make sure you gradually ascend to higher altitudes, and monitor your health throughout the journey. If necessary, our guides are trained to recognize the signs of altitude sickness and will take appropriate action to ensure your safety.
