Starting the morning with short drive of less than an hour, heading North-East of Kathmandu Valley rim. Reaching a small farm town of Sundarijal, located 15 k.m. east of Kathmandu city. Following our guide with climb towards Shivapuri National Park entrance, facing nice views of waterfalls, brooks and fresh streams.
The trail follows uphill to a nice farm villages and then into a lovely rhododendron and pine forest. The last short climb reaches Chisapani, located on a high ridge north of Kathmandu valley. Where air gets cooler facing views of snow-capped peaks from Annapurna-Manaslu-Ganesh Himal and Lang tang Himal. The views extends towards Jugal Himal with Annapurna and Manaslu in the far west, check into a nice simple lodge. First day leads to climb for 3-4 hours to Chisapani hill top, from Chisapani takes more than 5 hours to Nagarkot. A beautiful and scenic hike throughout the trip and enjoyable with ups and downhill walks.
Yes, young infants to elderly people can join on this trek, however for small babies needs to be carried. Where one can hire an extra porter to carry the young ones throughout the hiking.

It is a moderate grade walks, however involves steep climb for few hours as well downhill and with few gradual trail. Taking slowly having time for refreshing stops will make the climb on uphill easier, along with the views.
